Things you need to know about JAMB 2015

Its not about writing UTME but it is about having success. Here are some things you need to know about universities in Nigeria. The main thing to know is about the issue of catchment area. This system is a way of recognizing natives of a locality where a school resides. This is one of the reasons why all Nigeria states have at least a University so as to main equality in access to education.

This a true saying which states that anything that has advantage must have a disadvantage. It is same with the issue of catchment area

Students who have analyzed their strengths knowing well they cannot compete strongly with others are advised to seek admission in Schools where their states of origin is a catchment.

NOTE:A post by someone... pay attention to this, because I did'nt get to know about this, until now. And uniben just gave me admission to study another course instead of pharmacy, with an aggregate score of 63{i'm from Anambra},
and two of my friends whose aggregate scores were 61{one is from Edo state the other from Delta state} were given pharmacy.

There are also some states which are accepted as catchment states in any federal university, and they are called EDUCATIONAL LESS PRIVILEGED STATES (ELPS) and you seem lucky if you are from any of these states,
namely: Adamawa, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Benue, Borno, Cross-River, Ebonyi Gombe, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau, Rivers, Sokoto, Taraba, Yobe, Zamfara.
